Set within the understated elegance of Edition Hotel Singapore, this wedding was designed to feel like a romantic daydream, quiet, beautiful, and full of emotion. The room was transformed into a floral wonderland, with cascading blooms in rich purples, soft pinks, and crisp whites.

At the heart of the ceremony space stood a structured backdrop of white panels, softened by layered florals in shades of lavender, mauve, and deep plum. It wasn’t just about how it looked; it was about how it made you feel. The setup felt intentional, emotional, and entirely timeless.

Garden Blooming at Edition Hotel Singapore

Guests arrived at a space that felt ethereal. Instead of a traditional aisle, they were guided through an immersive path of florals, garden-style arrangements that mimicked nature’s own rhythm. It felt like walking through a curated garden.

Soft Light, Huge Impact

One of the most enchanting parts of Edition Hotel Singapore is its ambient lighting. As a wedding venue, it allows the florals to breathe. No overpowering hues. Just warm, golden tones that bring natural textures forward.

We placed every stem with this in mind, so the florals would glow without being washed out. This was most visible in the ceremony space, where spotlighting touched the edges of lisianthus petals and created quiet shadows behind the white panels. It was all intentionally understated, yet cinematic in feel.

Shades of Purple Palette

Purple anchored the entire floral story. But not just one shade. We explored a full spectrum: icy lilacs, muted lavenders, deep royals, and soft mauves. These tones allowed us to build dimension without overpowering the room. In combination with blush and white, the result was calming yet captivating.

Each purple hue was chosen with purpose to guide emotion, to mark different spaces, and to invite the eye to linger. In a modern venue like this, colour needed to feel balanced and timeless. This palette did both.

The Hero Blooms: Hydrangeas in Focus

Hydrangeas were at the heart of our design. These voluminous, statement blooms created fullness and visual softness throughout the space. We chose them for their variety, both in size and tone.

Near the altar, we leaned into cooler lavender hues; at the tables, we shifted to warmer lilacs and powdery pinks. Their cloud-like forms brought weight without stiffness. And their layering across the garden-style arrangements helped link all the florals together, giving a sense of continuity across the event.

 

Storytelling Through Placement

Every arrangement tells a story. The story was about thoughtful romance, tender moments, quiet strength, and natural elegance. We didn’t design for symmetry; we designed for movement. Taller stems swayed to one side.

Greens trailed off edges. Each panel installation curved differently, mimicking the flow of a gentle breeze. These small choices helped the florals feel alive and filled with personality. It was never about perfection; it was about heart.

Texture That Moves With the Eye

Floral texture is what gives arrangements life, and this wedding made full use of it. We layered feathery astilbe for softness, eucalyptus for structure, and delicate clematis to add movement. These subtle textural shifts gave guests something new to notice from every angle. Nothing felt flat or one-dimensional.

The structured white panels served as a clean architectural canvas. Against them, the wild garden florals became even more expressive. This contrast between clean and organic is something we often explore in our designs, which makes the romantic feel modern.

The soft blooms climbed and spilt over the backdrop, almost like they were growing into the room. This play between restraint and abundance allowed the floral design to feel both curated and spontaneous.
