Modern Oriental Empress Restaurant Wedding

Our featured couple handpicked Empress Restaurant for their intimate wedding banquet.

Located at the Asian Civilisations Museums, Empress Restaurant melds traditional Chinese food with an iconic setting.

Our bride took cues from the contemporary dining room and went with an oriental vibe elevated by timelessness.

The Palette and Theme

We went with a romantically classic colour palette that consisted of burgundy, white, and shades of red.

The prime flower was the orchid - a symbol of timeless love and fitting with the oriental theme.

A Swoon-worthy Bridal Bouquet

We incorporated white orchids into our bride's bouquet as well. The elegance of this luxurious flower complemented our bride's sleek, off-shoulder wedding dress with ease.

Oncidiums surrounded the orchids, giving the bouquet flow, while petite white roses dotted the bouquet, creating a full yet unique shape.

Complementary Table Decorations

Instead of completely replicating the bride's bouquet for the reception table, we chose to make a romantic red peony the star of the table arrangement.

Surrounded by colonial architecture, our bride wanted her table setting to be casual yet elegant.

Instead of large table arrangements that could have cluttered the long dining tables, we alternated between regular-sized centrepieces, tiny buds in dainty crystal vases, and lots of fruit.

We included plum-coloured Ranunculus buds to help transition colour between the mahogany tables and flowers.
