A Magical Raffles Hotel Wedding Proposal
When we were engaged by our featured groom-to-be, we initially planned for his once-in-a-lifetime event to be held at the most magical place on Earth - Disneyland!
While it was unfortunate that his plans could not be realised due to COVID government restrictions, we, alongside the couple’s wedding planner and stylist, brought the magic to Singapore instead!
The Wedding Proposal Palette and Theme
The Wedding Stylist Singapore found the fairest fountain of them all, right in central Singapore’s national monument - Raffles Hotel.
Taking cues from the ornate powder-blue fountain, we opted for a burgundy and blush colour palette.
As shades of complementary colours, the burgundy added a perfect contrast to the cast-iron relic of a bygone era.
Keeping it light and dainty, we paired blush hydrangeas together with dusty red foliage.
One of the focal flowers was a spray of red roses paired with garnet baby’s breath, signifying the groom-to-be’s true love and passion for his life partner.
Setting the Scene for a Memorable Evening
To recreate Disneyland's magic and ethereal feel, our team got their feet wet by installing some floor arrangements right in the fountain!
The floating pink lily arrangements gave the overall installation depth and added to the sentimental ambience.
When night fell, the beautiful Palm Garden transformed itself into a mystical setting with our finely curated motifs.
Warm lights cast graceful shadows across the courtyard as we set up enchanting pillar candles to enhance the atmosphere.
Illuminated by the fountain lights, the pastel-pink arrangements shone brilliantly.
During the day, we planned that most of the flowers would be subtly lit by the fountain lights and pillar candles.
The grandeur of the palm trees amplified the beauty of these delicate floating blooms!
The Grand Proposal!
Timed perfectly, our groom-to-be led his future wife to the Insta-worthy fountain backdrop just before twilight.
Under the soft, diffused light of sunset, he got down on one knee and proposed to the love of his life.
She said yes! Sparks flew!
With true love’s kiss to seal the engagement, this beautiful shot of our soon-to-be wedded couple was captured just as the fireworks went off.
This was such a fun surprise proposal to plan with all its bells and whistles! A big shout-out to our industry partners and whimsical groom for making this exquisite plan come true.
And, of course, as all Disney fairytales go, the couple lived Happily Ever After!
