A Modern Oriental Summer Pavilion Wedding
This wedding at The Summer Pavilion shows how an intimate celebration can still feel thoughtful, cohesive, and complete.
Set within the Ritz Carlton Hotel, The Summer Pavilion is a Chinese restaurant known for its refined interiors and strong culinary heritage. The couple chose this space to mark the next chapter of their story with intention rather than excess.
Decorating the Intimate Solemnisation Before the Big Event
Before the luncheon, the couple held a private solemnisation in one of the Ritz Carlton Hotel’s function rooms.

For this ceremony, we designed a warm modern oriental palette of red, burgundy, bronze, soft orange, and layered greens. These tones worked naturally with the interior and added depth without feeling heavy.

Floral hedges lined the aisle to frame the couple’s walk in. The arrangements stayed low and structured, so the space felt guided but not crowded.
At the front of the room, multi-tiered floral stands marked the standing ceremony area. We positioned them just above torso height to create a clear focal point and allow for clean, flattering photos.

Every floral decision supported how guests moved, stood, and gathered. Nothing competed with the moment itself.
Creating the Perfect Backdrop for the Wedding Celebrations
After the solemnisation, the celebration continued at The Summer Pavilion restaurant.

Instead of repeating the ceremony styling, we shifted the focus to one strong feature. A photo backdrop that guests could gather around, interact with, and remember.

The backdrop featured a curved structure with a dome cut-out form. Florals appeared at different depths, which created dimension while respecting the restaurant layout.

Warm reds, burgundy tones, and lush greens carried through from the ceremony. Orchids and roses added texture without overwhelming the space.

The installation stayed intentional and restrained. Each layer had a purpose. Each detail supported the flow of the celebration. A small-scale wedding does not need to feel sparse. With the right planning, it can feel complete, considered, and calm.
