VUE: This couple wanted something quirky, dark and moody, and since it was an intimate wedding we could really focus on the smaller stuff, it was all about the details. We worked in deep burgundy, plum and near black, anthuriums, orchids, calla lilies and trailing amaranth, then threaded fruit right through it: dark grapes, figs, mangosteen, lychee and even aubergine tucked among the blooms. Centrepieces mixed the fruit with candlelight and green tendrils, while larger pieces framed the rooftop and its skyline view. It was moody and a little unexpected, exactly the quiet drama they were after.
