JW Marriott:
Our quirky bride asked for maroon as one of her colours, not the easiest choice for a room like JW Marriott, but we leaned right into it. A starry night backdrop set the mood while deep maroon, mauve and burgundy blooms, orchids, hydrangea, delphinium and amaranth, banked either side in rich, moody layers. The grand staircase was dressed the same way, florals climbing the balustrade with candles glowing through. She also asked for mushrooms in her bouquet, so we tucked them in among the orchids, a small, characterful touch. It turned out warm and dramatic, crimson done with real depth.
