Classic Romance: Yi by Jereme Leung Wedding Floral Styling

Not every wedding needs a banquet hall to feel intentional.

Instead, some couples prefer a setting that feels personal and grounded. For this intimate lunch wedding, the celebration took place at Yi by Jereme Leung, a modern Chinese restaurant located within Raffles Hotel. From the start, the couple wanted a space where food, atmosphere, and conversation could take centre stage. Because of that, a restaurant wedding felt right.

Yi by Jereme Leung carries a strong identity. The name 藝 (yì) means art, and the interior reflects that meaning throughout the space. The design draws inspiration from deep culinary traditions and provincial storytelling. As a result, every detail feels layered and considered.

Since the venue already offered visual depth, our role focused on enhancement rather than transformation.

An Intimate Restaurant Wedding Filled with Natural Light

Lunch weddings create a very different rhythm compared to evening celebrations. During the day, natural light shapes both the mood and the experience.

At Yi by Jereme Leung, daylight flows gently into the main dining hall. Artistic features inspired by the Chinese myth of the creation of Heaven and Earth surround the space. Because of this, the restaurant suited an intimate restaurant wedding that felt calm and welcoming.

Rather than introducing bold contrasts, we leaned into the existing palette. Soft floral tones worked alongside the interior instead of standing apart from it. In doing so, the flowers supported the setting while keeping the focus on the couple and their guests.

Wedding Floral Styling That Enhances Without Overwhelming

Restaurant weddings rarely offer excess space. For that reason, design choices must feel deliberate.

Instead of raised stages or large structures, we focused on key sightlines. We placed the main floral installation where guests naturally direct their attention upon arrival. The arrangement sat between two of the restaurant’s modern Chinese lanterns, creating a balanced focal point.

By responding directly to the venue’s architecture, the installation felt settled rather than imposed. As a result, guests experienced visual comfort from the moment they entered the space.

Organic Floral Design Inspired by Movement and Light

For this Yi by Jereme Leung wedding floral concept, we kept the design simple but expressive.

We shaped the flowers in organic forms rather than rigid outlines. The arrangements curved gently towards the light source, much like flowers grow in nature. Because of this approach, the styling felt relaxed and natural while still maintaining structure.

At the same time, the scale remained restrained. Each floral detail had a purpose. Together, they created intimate wedding floral decor that felt romantic without feeling heavy.

This balance works especially well for modern Chinese wedding settings, where harmony and proportion play an important role.

Why Intimate Restaurant Wedding Floral Styling Matters

Intimate restaurant wedding floral styling requires awareness.

Unlike blank venues, restaurants already carry strong personalities. Therefore, floral design must respect the space, the flow of guests, and the dining experience itself. When done thoughtfully, flowers elevate the atmosphere without interrupting it.

For this lunch wedding, the floral styling supported the couple’s vision quietly. Guests enjoyed the food, the setting, and the conversations, while the flowers tied everything together in the background.

A Collaborative Approach to Wedding Styling

A wedding happens once, which makes every decision matter.

Rather than working from fixed packages, we treat each celebration as a collaboration. The couple brings their vision first. From there, we shape the details around the venue, the time of day, and the overall mood.

We work with fresh flowers, thoughtful placement, and the venue’s existing aesthetics. Because of this, the final result feels cohesive rather than staged.
